Who these terms are with
These terms describe Skens as it works today. Skens is a planning calendar operated by Jonathan Ulloa. It is not a registered business. There is no company behind the name.
Read these terms and the privacy policy before you create an account. Sign up asks you to confirm that you are 13 or older and that you agree to these terms and the privacy policy.
The service
Skens places flexible work on a calendar around the events you mark as fixed. A flexible task needs a duration. Fixed events keep the start and end you set. When the work does not fit before a deadline, Skens shows the shortfall instead of dropping it quietly.
Skens is the website. It is hosted on Vercel. The database and login are hosted on Supabase. Mobile apps are not released yet. These terms will also cover them if and when they are released.
Age
You must be 13 or older to create an account. If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission to use Skens. A parent or guardian must handle any paid subscription.
Skens is not directed to children under 13. If an account is found to belong to someone under 13, it will be deleted. The privacy policy says the same.
Your account
You sign up with an email address and a password of at least 8 characters. On the hosted service you confirm the email before the account is fully open. You are responsible for the password and for the activity on the account.
Use Skens for your own planning. The product is built so one account cannot read or change another account's calendar. Do not try to get around that.
What you put in
You keep your event titles, notes, and locations. You let Skens store them, show them back to you, and use them to build a plan. If you connect Google Calendar or Outlook, you let Skens read that calendar and copy events in as fixed time. If you turn on traffic checks, you let Skens send the trip's coordinates, mode, and departure time to Google Routes.
The privacy policy lists what is stored and who else receives it.
How planning behaves
Fixed events stay where you put them unless you change them. Skens does not move a hard deadline on its own. Automatic placement and missed session rescheduling apply to flexible work, and each of those changes is stored with an explanation you can read.
A plan can be wrong. Check anything that matters, including a deadline, a class, or the time you need to leave.
Price and payment
Creating an account is free, and you are charged only if you subscribe. Skens Personal is $20.00 a month. A verified student pays $10.00 a month. An account created with an active affiliate's link or code pays $17.00 a month for its first 12 months of paid service, then the standard price. Student pricing and the affiliate discount do not stack. You get the lower price.
Web checkout and the billing portal are hosted by Stripe. You can cancel from Billing. Cancellation keeps access until the end of the period you have paid for. If a payment fails and Stripe is still retrying, access continues while the subscription is past due. The prices above come from the same catalog as the pricing page. There is no yearly price.
Creating an account is free and includes the planner with up to 5 active flexible tasks. Skens Personal adds unlimited tasks, travel time and calendar import. Mobile apps are not released yet, so there is no app store subscription. A signed RevenueCat webhook can record a subscription, and no store product is set up.
Student pricing
You can request student pricing from Billing. The website does not collect a school name or a document. Jonathan Ulloa decides the request. A verification lasts 365 days. You can ask to renew it in the last 30 days, and after it expires. Being a student once does not keep the price forever.
Affiliates
Any account can activate an affiliate code, with or without a subscription. The code earns only after Stripe Connect payout onboarding is complete. Skens does not store the bank account. Stripe does.
A code attributes a person only when that person creates an account, through the link or by typing the code. Existing accounts are not attributed, and an attribution is not switched later. It stays for the life of the referred account, including after they cancel and come back. You cannot earn from your own account. A matching email, or a card or payout destination shared with the affiliate, blocks or holds the commission.
The commission is 40% of the subscription revenue actually collected on the web, after tax is taken out, for as long as that account pays. Store purchases are not commissioned. Failed payments earn nothing. A refund or a lost dispute reverses the matching commission. New commission waits 30 days, then it can be paid. A payout is sent when the available balance reaches $10.00.
The affiliate dashboard shows status, the code, balances, and customers labeled by referral number. It does not show who they are.
Stopping
You can stop using Skens at any time. Cancel a subscription from Billing if you have one. Disconnect a calendar from settings on the website if you connected one. Disconnecting removes the imported events from Skens and leaves the outside calendar as it is.
Deletion
Message Jonathan Ulloa at @getskens on Instagram to ask for deletion. There is no delete button on the website. An account with no subscription, payment, affiliate profile, or referral attribution can be deleted, which removes the login and the calendar stored for it.
Subscriptions, payments, affiliate profiles, and referral attributions are permanent, so an account that has any of them cannot be deleted. There is no anonymization tool yet. Data Stripe holds is deleted only if Stripe's own process deletes it.
Changes
When these terms change, the date at the top changes. Skens does not email you about edits to this page. A change to a price or a commission rate applies to later charges and to new affiliate attributions. Amounts already recorded stay as they were.
These terms do not take away rights you have under the laws where you live. They do not name a court or a state.
