About Skens
Time is finite. Your plans should know it.
Skens started from a simple frustration: to do lists happily hold more work than a day can, calendars don't know what a deadline is, and every plan goes stale the moment a class runs long.
So we built a calendar around one rule: if you intend to do something, it must consume real time. Every task gets an exact duration and a real place on your calendar. When the day changes, the plan changes with it. And when there isn't enough time, Skens says so instead of pretending.
Skens is for people who already plan carefully: students juggling classes, study, and the commute; professionals protecting focus time; anyone tired of repairing their calendar by hand.
What we believe
Every commitment takes time
If you mean to do it, it gets a block on your calendar. No floating reminders.
Plan precisely, adapt freely
Plans are exact. When the day changes, the plan changes with it.
Impossible plans are surfaced
When there isn't enough time, you find out early, with the exact shortfall.
Deadlines stay hard
A real deadline is never silently moved. Only you can change it.
Changes are explained
Whenever Skens moves work, it tells you what changed and why.
Your calendar is yours
Your plans are private to your account, and other services stay at arm's length.
What Skens isn't
Saying no keeps Skens focused on making your plans possible. Skens is not:
- a to do list with no sense of time
- streaks, badges, or guilt
- a social feed
- a place for vague someday tasks
